What programs/ art supplies do you use?
I use Adobe Photoshop for sketching and Adobe Illustrator for most of my color work.
For traditional artwork, I use Micron pens, tea wash, Copic markers and white gel pen on Bristol paper.
Do you attend comic conventions?
I do try to attend conventions or have tables in Artist Alley, but my work schedule always comes first, so unfortunately I've had to cancel many that I've booked. Any upcoming convention schedules will be posted on the home page. I don't honestly know all the conventions in the circuit though, so if you have a convention suggestion for me, please feel free to contact me and let me know any conventions in your area and I'll see what I can do.
Do you do commissions?
I tend to keep commissions only to conventions as my regular work schedule keeps me insanely busy. If that changes, I will always post up commission availabilty on Deviantart, Facebook and Twitter.
Did you go to school for art?
I attended Ringling College of Art and Design, but I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil. I taught myself to use Photoshop and Illustrator, but school was helpful when it came to figure drawing classes and learning from my fellow peers.
I absolutely adore your artwork, can I get a drawing for free?
I am totally flattered that you enjoy my artwork - however, my art is how I make a living and as much as I'd love to be able to sketch out something for everyone that liked my artwork, I just don't have the time, especially when I need to pay the bills. Hope you understand!
I have a great idea for a new Monster High character, can I show you my ideas?
Due to legal reasons from Mattel, I follow their rules on Monster High, so I am not allowed to look at any of your original character ideas. If you have fan art of characters that already exists, please feel free to send me those. But to keep things simple with my contract with Mattel - any email with original MH ideas will be deleted without opening. Sorry, and hope you understand!
Can I get a tattoo done of one of your artworks?
Please feel free to! If you do, I'd love to see to see it! Email me a photo at 411@kelleeart.com. Thanks!
Do you license your artwork for consumer products?
I would love to talk about any opportunities to get my artwork out into the world. Please email me at license@kelleeart.com for any licensing inquiries. Thanks!
